Fed laws created by unelected

According to our friends at the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), the cost of complying with federal regulations hit $1.89 TRILLION, or nearly $15,000 per household, last year. That’s more than the individual and corporate federal income tax burden of $1.82 trillion!

And in another startling fact from CEI, while Congress enacted 114 laws in 2015, federal agencies issued 3,410 rules. In other words, unelected Washington bureaucrats issued 30 rules for every law passed by our elected officials in Congress!

Gulchers, while you don’t pay this hidden tax to the IRS, make no mistake – YOU are paying for these regulations every time you buy groceries, fill up your car with gas, or pay your telephone or electricity bill.

What’s more, regulatory compliance costs are a drain on the profitability of American businesses, depressing the wages workers earn and impacting our nation’s global competitiveness, economic growth, and prosperity.

Things weren’t always this bad. Under President Obama, the number of new major regulations has increased by roughly one-third over Bush administration numbers. In fact, the Code of Federal Regulations – a comprehensive list of all federal rules and regulations – now exceeds 178,000 pages .

As alarming as this is, the regulatory nightmare could get even worse. Right now, 60 government agencies are trying to cram in 3,297 MORE regulations before the clock runs out on the Obama administration.

AS was a thick book with close to 1300 pages.
That amount would not handle the table of contents in the code of federal regulations. AS has more value and common sense in the 1st chapter than in 178000 pages of fed regs.
