- 4Posted by Zenphamy 8 years, 5 months agoIt very much depends on what and who you include in the word 'America'. Is it the citizenry as a whole, urban vs. rural citizenry, voting vs. non-voting population, elected officials, the hidden bureaucratic government, etc., etc.? There are very disquieting similarities to both 1984 and Atlas Shrugged. Statist Collectivism/Socialism has made significant gains I didn't expect to see in my life time. But on the other hand, I see an awakening in the population towards freedom and frustration with gov't, though the philosophical underpinnings are still pretty weak.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
