apparently, Mr. Ferrell (whose acting I cannot stand) is making a movie lampooning Reagan in his Alzheimer stage. what a vile, unfunny, mean spirited little man. :(

    Hello khalling,
    Thank Galt!
What a jerk for considering it at all. I personally find his "humor" rather low-ball and would never plunk down a nickel for it; so I would likely not see it anyway. Though they have the right, common decency should inhibit any such movie from being made. I watched my Grandmother fade and die from Alzheimers and there is nothing funny about it. I agree with Ms. Davis.
    Regards,
    O.A.

agreed on the Thatcher film. Part of me rejoices though, because they KNOW they couldn't have taken on these people at their strongest

I hope he loses his ass on the venture and has to declare bankruptcy. Further, I hope that Hollywood has the good sense to shun any further work by him. (Probably not.)

I heard about this today and thought it had to be a mistake. I hope Ferrell reconsiders.

I am not surprised that Reagan is being lampooned. He was lampooned erroneously during his life, too.

Would someone please come up with an "ism" that is appropriate to anyone who would make fun of Alzheimer's patients? Even though such people are anti-human, we can't label them as humanists. Humanists ought to continue to have a positive connotation.

It is time that we turn their own weapons against them.

Agreed, completely tasteless and deserving of "all due respect." Its been open season on "conservative leaders" for some time. The disgusting insulting film about Margaret Thatcher precedes this one. (At least Thatcher was well acted, albeit politically motivated and insultingly written.)
