I'm very happy to have landed in the Gulch…I read most all of Ayn Rand's books years ago and some of her ideas made a distinct impression on me and have actually influenced and encouraged me in my efforts to follow what I do best regardless of the popularity of such choices. Authenticity to one's self and a refusal to compromise and settle for mediocrity in an effort to getting along with the majority has been one of the guiding principles of my life, the writings of Ms. Rand re-enforced my convictions on this. Such a stand has cost me a lot, but I am not a committee, group or much of team player most probably because this sometimes requires compromising on things that are important to me. I am surprised that I even sign up for here, but who knows.
