Remember the Blind Sheikh Abdel Rahman? He was the mastermind behind the first attempt to take down the twin towers. He didn't succeed and was quickly arrested.He is also known as an expert on Quoran scripture, being a Doctor of Islamic jurisprudence. So, I think that we can feel safe in calling him an expert in the intent of the Islamic religion. You will hear it often said that the jihadists do not represent the true religion of Islam which is peaceful and non threatening. This is not true if the Blind One is to be believed -- and he's the internationally recognized expert.He has said that the scriptures demand that Muslims should strike terror into the heart of Islam's enemies. The scriptures back him up. He said that Allah enjoined all Muslims to wage jihad until Islamic law is eastablished throughout the world. The Whole world! The scriptures back him up. Islam directs Muslims not to take Christians and Jews as their friends. There are some who will tell that the exhortations to violence and hatred should be contextualized, that they should be seen in light of the 7th century when they were written. Not so, says the Blind One. They are just as valid today as they were then. After all, he is the expert. So, as far as I'm concerned, if a Muslim man or woman is religious and adheres to the Quoran, they are automatically my enemy, and unless you are a devoted Muslim, your enemy also. Trying to tell me that the Islamic religion is that of peace is spewing out a load of crap. Take the expert at his word.
