Republicans Shift to Last-Ditch Plan to Stop Trump at Convention

Reading this, it is no wonder that our country is a disaster. Special interests, "my way or no way" politics, a 2 party state where both parties are identical and wrapped up in their own greatness. All this is what Trump bashes. Is he right? I don't know, he seems to be a goofball, with a childish emotional state. However, he is NOT what is currently in power, which is what has them running scared. But how can anyone expect anyone to listen to the last 2 losers they fielded just because they were the party anointed ones, and who had nothing to offer against the Obamanation? It speaks to the arrogance of power that Romney, who failed, now thinks he is blessed enough to "save the Party". Nope, if Trump doesn't beat the HillaryBeast, assuming she is not indicted, it will be their "let me cut my nose off to spite my face" attitude, and take us all down with them into a Democrap hell that will cement Obamacare and add a huge tax gouge to pay for all the giveaways she will do, as well as whatever she skims of the top for her and Billy boy. What morons....

Then how is voting for ANY democrat an acceptable choice? Sounds like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

My comment: "You have a Muslim raised, communist raised community organizer for President and are worried about Trump?"

Your point is well made but the outcome of your pure and "Principled" policy is that we will all go to hell sooner. People voting for the supposedly purer candidate in Ross Perot got us Bill Clinton.

Trump offers us an anti establishment view of politics. The very fact the establishment hates him so much makes me want him to win more. In our mob rule society the only way to get change is to demonstrate how the statist ideas aren't working. That is until principles of Liberty can be taught. The American Revolution was a result of very bad practical actions by the British that couldn't be swept under the rug. Today these things ARE swept under the rug by the media. That has to stop

Republicans are acting like fools. Just let the people decide you idiots! If your actions succeed, the potential voters will know it and either refrain from voting or go over to C or S. Even if you fail, you have cast a pall in whomever the nominee will be. It is lose-lose, and if you include the election, a lose-lose-lose.

You choose to consent to slavery under the statist party. If you don't make a stand liberty and free markets will be destroyed and violent revolution will be the only way to regain them. You should have started voting on principle 20 years ago, but instead you voted for the supposed lesser evil, and you got what you voted for: evil. Keep on voting without rational thinking and you will get more of the same.

We had the Republicans force feed us the hopeless Dole, about soured me on the party then. Then we had the McCain (manchurian candidate?) debacle. Then Romney had his wimpy chance. I have long ago given up thinking they want to save this country, and just all want one world government. I had hope for Rubio until a couple weeks ago, when he showed his true Romney colors. Yet the Party continues to call for handouts, when hell freezes over. I will vote for local Democrats, and vote Libertarian on the general if the leadership continues this destructive path. One party of socialists and one of crony one world government dictators, Those are not acceptable choices.

Some of the worst corruption is at the local level. And that can be where you can make the biggest difference. I got elected to a water board. And even there I have helped save $millions with fiscal discipline.

Being that on the Democrat side the two candidates are not an option, I'm for last man standing on the Republican side. Trump, the persona, may not be showing his "presidential" side but seems to represent the movement and sentiment of the people who are fed up with lifelong career politicians and business as usual attitude. This is in spite of the Trump personality. It seems to me that the more desperate the efforts against Trump, the more I lean toward him. Weird reaction.

    It's really simple...

Divide and Conquer. Stir up enough about the GOP frontrunner, keep them at each others throats (and get the public and the media to join in the dogfight) and you split the party so NONE of them get elected. Kill the opposition to Hillary and she wins.

I knew it was suspicious when the GOP had, what, 17 candidates... and none would step back, make a rational business decision, and back out - or not get in. Who's EVER heard of "one party" putting up that many people?? It was beyond ludicrous - it showed the world that the GOP --CAN'T-- win because they're too busy doing the work for the dems...

The Right wing media (if there really is such a thing, and 'm beginning to doubt there is) - EVERY ONE OF THEM are complicit as well. EVERY TIME they stir the pot about so and so or that candidate - and it's not the Dem candidates - they're working for the Dems. Sorry, Glen, Sorry, Rush, Sorry, Sean..., sorry about ALL you people that are working from the Liberal's playbook. She appreciates your helping to keep the opposition divided.

You don't like Trump? Unless you really like Hillary a LOT more, then you hopefully will swallow the bitter pill and try to bring the GOP back together, even if it IS Trump, and stop helping HER campaign by slinging mud, stirring up their nonsense, and breaking their opposition for them...

In Fox News today is a clip of Judge Jeanine Pirro claiming that Mitt Romney woke up a sleeping giant,
I would say Mitt is throwing gasoline on an already raging fire.
I would also assume Judge Jeanine is a frustrated Republican.

Republicans have caused this. They should learn a lesson, not reacts as if Trump is the problem. The problem is in the mirror.

"Vote for Gary Johnson"...Which of course means Hillary will win...unless the FBI gets her...an unlikely Scenario. If they do we will have Bernie the Commie. Man I can hardly wait to be "...Principled and ethical..."!

Your adversary always gives away his position by protecting what is dearest. It's obvious a voice for producers or Constitutional government is not what the party holds dear.

Trump is very dangerous I think the military said they wouldn't carry out some of his orders and he'd probably have us in a war with China in his first term.

"The ideal citizen of a tyrannical state is the man or woman who bows in silent obedience in exchange for the status of a well-cared-for herd animal. Thinking people become the tyrants worst enemies.

Before their thunder roars, there is a period of anticipation, in which more occurs than the literal-minded tyrant can ever understand. A few overt acts of sedition shatter the heavy peace. But the greater force, unrecognized, rolls forward in near silence, as millions of individuals quietly withdraw their consent from the state. The pundits call it apathy. They could not be more wrong.

That time is now. And we are those people."

Until the 3rd parties wake up and realize they need to take local control first, then states, then Feds, it is all moot. That is how they keep control all the way down, the National committees control state control local, and you end up with voter fraud and HillaryBeast or the Trumpet. Just getting elected locally is hard enough. Everyone wants to know whats in it for them, and freedom and personal responsibility are not on their lists.

imo, this is just more of the circus meant to distract voters who might otherwise awaken to the GOP. This tale keeps the potential GOP deserters attached to Trump who pretends to be an outsider. In the end Trump will prevail because he has already been vetted That is, the GOP inner circle believes they have enough blackmail to keep Trump under control. So the suckers vote for the lesser evil as usual and the statist carousel continues.

If conservatives want individual liberty and free markets restored the only objective choice is to abandon the GOP's lies and vote for a principled, ethical candidate like Gary Johnson.
