- 1Posted by overmanwarrior 13 years, 5 months agoReligion is meant to provide a person with the means to understand what cannot be known. Objectivism is to accept only what can be verified in reality. It steps beyond willful illusion to grasp truth. Reality exists as an objective absolute and man's reasoning is his manner of perceiving it. This is like saying to a child who wishes to believe in Santa Claus because they don't wish to accept that their parents are really the gift givers. Religion is good for a mind not ready to accept the responsibility of living ones own life, so I would say it is a step toward that responsibility.| Mark as read | Parent | Best of... | Permalink
