We're a week away today. Getting excited? Has that excitement rubbed off on others yet?

Just two of us are going together physically, but I have two other pairs of friends going to the opening night in two different cities. Last year my best friend flew in so we could go together, this year we can't really accomplish that but we have twice as many!

We are going to have to drive an hour to get to it, but 3 of us are going!

We have a drive-in not too far from here that does double features (only $6 per person, and you get two movies! AND the "snack" bar has real food, like burgers, for a reasonable price.) Anyway, I wonder what it would take to get them to play ASP I & II for the two movies...in the same night! I would host a huge party if they would do that!

A drive in theater. Pretty cool. The one we have here is closed for the winter, There used to be four in this town. Those were the good old days. I'll definately push for AS 1 & 2 for next spring when they open for the season. In the meantime I'm going to see AS2 in 6 days, 1 hour nad 30 minutes.

Just the two of us are going (we both happen to be off that day) and we'll go to the first showing, however I don't know what the show times are as of yet. Not sure what the hold up is on that at my theater. They still aren't showing the trailer either. I may switch theaters and drive further away.) Is the theater protesting the film in some way????

Try calling them or stopping by to ask if they're going to be showing the movie.

It shows in the "coming soon" column for Oct 12th. I thought today, being a week out, would bring show times, but not yet. The trailer has never been there (which doesn't seem normal at all), but sdesapio is looking into that. :)

I am in the unfortunate situation of having a lot of friends (okay, that's the not the unfortunate part per se) who do not care, understand, or have the least bit of interest to understand Rand or much of what is really happening right now in our government/business/future. It is getting increasingly more difficult to maintain these relationships, and to be honest, I'm wondering if it's even worth the effort anymore. I'm supposed to get together with a couple of my oldest friends next week and I'm actually dreading it. Any advice, Gulchians?

You can be friends with different people for different reasons. Every friendship doesn't have to be soul-entwining, nor does every person have to be politically or explicitly philosophical. Really think about what you value in each person and pursue those qualities.

Hmmm you may have hit the nail. I'm actually starting to see the lack of qualities in areas that I think are important. Cluelessness is becoming something I can't glaze over and ignore. Perhaps I just need to have a drink more often than almost never.
