More guns = fewer living criminals = less crime.

    Makes sense to me...

Sadly, there is no reasoning with the more passionate gun control cadre, any more than you can get the climate change cult to engage in rational discourse. They have been so saturated with the idea that everyone lies to support their convictions, and facts are merely numbers generated to support their version of "the truth."

I used to rely on the old saying,"You're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts." The progressive herd have moved beyond such restrictive views, and see nothing utterly illogical in saying, "But those are YOUR facts!" Adhering to their concept that "facts" are merely whatever supports your position, and not concrete things.

Yep. I think this was started upon the expiration of the Brady Bill, which was a disaster for personal freedom and self-defense.

What a super statistic to see on the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. I know that all of you have heard this quip, but it's worth repeating:... "Definition of gun control is a steady hand."

It doesn't matter whether the murders by guns is up, down or sideways. In a free society, property confiscation without a damn good reason should be prohibited. To date, in the case of guns, such a reason has not been put forth. And even in the case of damn good reasons, special scrutiny should be exercised before making any decision. The ownership of property, any property, is paramount to the keeping of citizens from an overreaching government.

1- the second amendment was enacted to prevent the government from making gun ownership illegal for citizens. This keeps the government from getting out of hand and allows people to take control of their personal safety.

#2- Obviously the police do little to insure personal safety. They come and 'investigate" after the crime has been committed. But the victims are right there and could protect themselves easily if they had the tools. The answer is more personal protection items (not just guns), and offensive weapons to be used when governments are out of control.

I agree with you on scaling back the Drug War. In fact not only would we empty the prisons, save money on policing and eliminate a source of income for criminal organizations, but those individuals that over imbibed and died would remove them selves from humanity and thereby no longer be a liability. IE: We would introduce an additional method of natural selection.

That is true when considering the actions of the 'masters.' In the war of propaganda, there is likely something to be gained in educating the slaves with statistics like this.

That is not their interest. Since all they want is to control their slaves, they have no need for rational thought to interfere.

The argument about gun ownership versus gun crime is secondary at best. The fundamental reason for owning weaponry is for protection against enemies foreign and domestic, which includes "keeping the government honest." The major totalitarian governments of the 20th century eliminated unarmed dissent by first eliminating private ownership of firearms.

Send the truth that is that chart to the great and powerful Emperor O or to Broom Hillary, it would be immediately shredded.
Dems can't climate change handle the truth.
It interferes with a lust for power and control.

"And none are a result of the fedgov crushing free markets and individual liberty."
[sarcasm]How did you determine that crushing markets and liberty weren't good?

Saw that but it tells nothing about the total number of gun homicides in gun free zones. How many homicide victims of "mass shootings" in the past 5 years? Still a small number compared to total gun homicides (about 43,000), imo.

Thanks. I did find most mass shootings were in gun free zones. It is not so easy to find proof that most other homicides occur in gun free areas.

There certainly could be a connection. No one has a sign indicating no gun are allowed in a house b/c we intuitively know that would not discourage criminals.

I think it's awsome, though, that crime is down so sharply. If it's more families owning guns, that's a good thing too. A lot of things are going right in the world.

You may be right. I was searching too and could not find any relevant data. Kind of surprises me since we have the gun free cities of Chicago, New York & DC. I'm sure there are more.
