James Taggart might not have been able to run a transcontinental railroad but, his taste in toy trains was right on the money.

On June 27th, one of our Galt's Gulch Online Producers is going to win James Taggart's very own Lionel 6110 Model Locomotive circa 1950 that was featured on his desk in the film, Atlas Shrugged Part II. This is THE MODEL TRAIN in the film.

    Yes.

'Is the Wizard of Oz a true story?' 'If not...why?'

All kidding aside, I will dwell on this question.

Does your shipping issues have anything to do with the witness protection program?

alas, if I were fortunate enough to win the drawing, it would never likely make it to me. so, best to keep it "up there" and in the hands of a truly worthy receiver. but, I believe in working for the "prize." and plenty in here want it. do you have a topic suggestion for the essay?

You just need to have some small print disclaimer: "Winner is responsible for receiving the award in person." Problem solved!

Wait a minute. I just realized that you said that you could not win the essay because of "logistics of shipping"? How much trouble could it be to move the train from your desk to, say, your bookcase?

    (Insert 'confused' smilie here!)

ah, thanks. actually I am disqualified due to logistics of shipping. However, there are many in here up for essay challenge and I'll take topic suggestions. It has to tie back to the movie(s), extra points for video submissions, music, or pictures, but descriptions or essay is limited to 100 words...and if someone says anything about Gary Sinese or James Cla-whatever his name is, they are immediately disqualified. oh, also they don't have to be a producer but they have to pass the smell test.

Can you find a way to get John Galt to sign it?

    That would be cool....

P.S. I would like to send a modest donation to the Galt's Gulch.com retirement home fund...this offer ends on June 28.

Yeah, what is up with the moms who clear out everything in a fit of tidiness? I'd ask first, at least.
My stepmom gave away all of my Barbie dolls. The three story townhouse, the boat, plane, camper, corvette, all of it. My husbands mom grew out his baseball cards... :-(

Very cool promo... got my fingers crossed!! Of course, in the spirit of Jim Taggart, if you put it on a lionel track and tried to run it, it would probably either derail itself or, if run in a scale model tunnel, stall out and smoke profusely!

I had one also. My grandmother threw it out. I had so much fun playing with that train.

My birthday is coming up and that train would be a wonderful birthday gift.

I had one just like it as a child. After I grew up and moved out of my parent's house, my mother cleaned out the attic and threw it out! Thanks Mom! :(
