Where Are The Bumper Stickers?

I just recently moved back to the most liberal (A.K.A. laughing stock) county in the State of Colorado. Four years ago there were Obama bumper stickers and yard signs everywhere I went. Now, I haven't seen more than 3 bumper stickers and less than six yard signs, even in the teachers parking area at the local schools. On the other hand I see Romney yard signs in every neighbor hood. I've seen only around a dozen Romney bumper stickers but I'm postulating that Romney supporters don't want to have their auto "keyed" by some coward liberal while they are shopping.

Can it be possible that these democrats aren't supporting their messiah, or are they ashamed that they did in 2008? Even the local activists are keeping their usually very loud mouths shut. Obama came here in August and the venue he spoke at was very small. The unions were well represented but that was all. Of course, the vast majority of union members that are in the construction industry are laid off and have to show up and wave the liberal flag per their business agent's orders.

Can it be possible that these democrats aren't supporting their messiah, or are they ashamed that they did in 2008? We'll know soon enough.

One could only hope that will ring true for the rest of the country. I however fear that Obama will win by a healthy enough margin. If enough dems show up and vote straight ticket it could prove disastrous for our country.

Thanks for the reply, and I agree that your fears are legemidate. Since I went "Galt" on January 20th, 2009, I've enjoyed watching the circus. Lately, I've noted that not many people are discussing politics over their cup of coffee. Perhaps they'll surprise us. For the record, I would have gone Galt even if McCain would have been elected. My sister works for the "government" in Arizona and she told me a few things about him. Sure enough, McCain has acted the way I was told he would. What were the words in that Simon and Garfunkle song? Ah, "Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon
      Going to the candidates debate
Laugh about it, shout about it
      When you've got to choose
Ev'ry way you look at it, you lose"
