Anti-siphon nozzles portable gas tanks

So I was out mowing my lawn the other day and had to refuel, when I was once again met by one of my personal nemeses: the anti-siphon nozzle on all commercially sold portable gas cans.

If you aren't familiar with them, what they are is some kind of active (which means you have to hold the nozzle in an "open" configuration to use it) device on the spout which prevents you from using the thing as intended. It's supposed to prevent the escape of fumes, but really all it does is make it really hard to use to get the gas OUT of the portable tank and into whatever you want to put it in.

Am I the only who is driven nuts by the stupidity in these things? And I find the same two manufacturers of these things in every, single store I go into whether it be a home improvement store like Lowe's or Home Depot or chain merchandiser like Wal-Mart. And ALL of them have these stupid anti-siphon caps.

If anyone knows of a place online I can order some REAL caps (just a regular funneling nozzle) can someone please send me a link?!?!

Let see, light bulbs with odd color, gas cans that leak, GFI outlets that beep when they get old, and now water heaters that are too tall and fat to fit in utility closets. At least digital TV looks great, if you can get a lock on a windy day. Things just keep getting better and better!
