Who would you rather have as our president if Putin was a USA citizen (tee-hee) and regarded the United States as his homeland with the same zeal that he leads his Mother Russia.

I agree. At least our leader would stick up for the USA if it were Putin. I have to have respect for Putin at least for what he does for Russia. Not so much for his KGB upbringing. Then again, Obama's arrogance and petulance tells me he would do very bad things if he wasnt worried about political correctness.

Putin is very smart, has charisma, really believes in and sticks up for his country and his people. He is aggressive and acquisitive, like in Ukraine and Crimea and now Syria, but then again so is the USA. We attacked Iraq, Afghanistan, and countless other countries with military force under the guise (excuse) of preserving democracy, but really to control the world.

Neither one is into freedom for the people, and neither is philosophically based.

As to the number of people each has killed or had killed, I think it would be about even when you consider the military actions each has engaged in.

Foreign affairs-wise, Putin is the winner by FAR. Obama makes the USA look like a bunch of fools.

Overall, I would take Putin assuming he had the same feelings about the USA that he does about Russia now. Could hardly be worse.

Dr Zarkov, hopefully, it will be just a cold war. I was a teenager in 1963 and the Cuban missile crisis pushed us to the brink. No shots were fired and no bombs were dropped, but, it still was close. Putin has raised the stakes considerably with his air strikes and by telling us to stay out of the air. I am fearful of this escalating except for the fact that Obama won't stand up to the neighborhood bully. Still, if he thinks doing nothing will hurt his "Legacy" The s*** could hit the fan.
