Do you think the average American cares that one of their ambassadors has been killed? Or that soldiers trying to protect embassy staff were killed because a decision was made not to deploy backup forces? Sadly, I think the answer is NO. Maybe I'm wrong...? I think unless the average citizen sees an atrocity unravel on video tape before their eyes, they don't care. Something else occupies their mind a few minutes after they hear the story. I think perhaps it is time to start telling people we think less of them because of their poor character, and that we expect more/better out of them. There should be social stigma for not giving a rip.

I've worked for someone like Hillary before. Their primary concern is control of the presentation of the situation to their superiors. That often means suppression of the facts by the people they have working for them. It disgusts me. I walked out of that job, telling HR that I was leaving specifically because of him. People asked where I was going. I told them I was going home. I did not have another job lined up. I didn't care. This class of person disgusts me, and I won't contribute to their success if they will just throw me under the bus if me telling the facts results in a perception that they are a failure.

Ah yes,...I like this a lot! (And line of the day!) " I think perhaps it is time to start telling people we think less of them because of their poor character, and that we expect more/better out of them. There should be social stigma for not giving a rip." (I'm going to start saying this to people..."Wow, you're incredible level of disinterest on this topic is very revealing of your lack of character. I really expected more from you. I'm going to have to reevaluate our whole friendship now.") Brilliant!

I don't believe it was just to suppress our President looking weak weeks before an election. The cover-up is bad enough, but while it was happening-not consult with the counter-terrorism people in your own department? While you knew people were already dead and more getting killed?

What I'd like to know is: who is going to kill themselves over this fiasco so as to protect the Clinton "legacy" or whatever? I don't recall anyone dying yet (after the true heroes died). Surely Hellary had someone in mind to nail in case things went wrong, er, I mean surely somebody has a overly-guilty conscious and weak constitution which led them to off themselves right? The whole damn thing is disgusting.

I was going to comment on the "killing themselves" option, but I held back. Someone is going to turn up missing or dead, unless there is a whistle blower re-cant

What I’d like to know is when people will realize that just two weeks before Ambassador Stevens and his colleagues desperation reached a climatic note, demanding the State Dept. to take action--either by sending help or evacuating the embassy, Hilary was the huge hit of youtube dancing her way around South Africa. Was she distracted by all her dignitary functions that month?

The irony of this tragic episode is that Ovomit and Hellary could have turned this into a cause to rally behind had they reacted with leadership instead of disdain. Sadly, it is not in their natures. Not only was that "3 am call" not answered, neither was that 4 pm call. Hopefully, the House Oversight Committee will get everything out in the open. It's about the only justice the families of the dead are likely to receive.

do you think it was just incompetence/apathy and cover-up? surely, there is more to it than that. I have a hard time believing Clinton didn't care about losing control-
