Too bad the same cast wasn't used in all parts. Would have helped establish engaging continuity.

This has been debated extensively here. My personal opinion is that changing cast members brings a type of "everyman" feel to the trilogy. These various characters could be any of us. Just my theory and I'm sticking with it.

Yep. And changing screenwriters and directors brings a type of cracker-barrel, anyone-can-do-this feel to the trilogy.

Of course, changing above-the-line and below-the-line cast and crew completely effs up little details such as unity of storytelling, continuity of style, and overall intelligibility for the audience.

But as long as you like, that's what counts.

Part III will be nice to see. But I do believe that a prequel that shows the growth and development of the characters and businesses will be a blockbuster and lead to even more interest in the 3 parts.

I hope they let John Galt be natural and not rigid, other than that I have gotten used to the actor changes.

Watching off set interviews with the actors added a lot to my understanding of why they were picked, except for Francisco, I think he is gong to be a disappointment.

I do not understand how the production team is going to "make over" the 20 year difference in age between the actors portraying Dagny, Galt and then Francisco. Gunna need a lot of paint. But hey, I just an engineer.

I am soooo with you on that Fransisco, especially after the interview. I guess we will have to close our eyes and pretend it's Jsu Garcia speaking.

There HAD to be somebody else available in the age group and in character. I don't know, I just can't see a guy my age up on the roof top of a factory building with pistols in each hand (the Reardon Steel riot) unless that gets left out. I can't imagine that.
