He did tout the "starve the beast" plan on one day before the first debate, and never got around to it on the first debate day. Attacking Trump may have been necessary, but it was more deleterious to Rand Paul than it was to Trump.

He is...but with all this Trump madness it is hard to get the message out.

When Trump falls, and he will fall, Rand will rise again.

Rand Paul would be wise to tout his "starve the beast" plan. While his foreign policy stance is also different from the other candidates, the "starve the beast" plan can unite all non-mooching voters.

Paul has no traction right now. He has to tap into the anger, alienation, frustration, and concern over broken political promises, the loss of rights, and the lack of legal accountability in government.

Taking swipes at Trump is playing Trump's game, and it only pisses off those enamored with their new political 'boyfriend'. Paul's only hope is too woo them with real policy reforms that cut into the 'government party's' new version of lords and nobles.
