Releasing and weight loss

Last night I was about to eat my usual splurge. I thought then of my releasing work. So I let go on my night eating! Within about 2 minutes, the urge to eat totally vanished. It was easy to let go an urge to eat during the day, thus far anyways. I ate a small bite or three for hunger's sake and let go of the need to eat beyond hunger. There are several ideas in Dr. Carrington's book "Releasing" for "unlocking" the ability to release when it is difficult. But so far, I have not found the necessity to use such. In fairness, I should add that I have been studying this issue of obesity my whole life, since roughly age 13 to 68. So I definitely have learned quite a bit about the psychology of hunger and how to use releasing alongside that knowledge.
One note: While "Releasing" 2007 edition is, in my humble view, a work of genius, in its simplicity yet unusual detail, so far her other works have way too much filler material for comfort.
