Whenever I start to feel like I'm being a whiner I watch Alec Baldwin's speech in this movie. What are your thoughts about it? (it's easily found on youtube) I think it's brilliant. And, for better or worse, the older I get the more I become like that character...something I need to keep in check - lol

Saw it on Broadway in the 80s. Hated it.
No coffee for irrational looter scum.
You'd have to pay me to get me to watch Alex do anything. Worthless irrational looting scum.

  My knees, taxes, the complete lack of understanding of economics from our elected officials. That's about it. My attitude must remain, "make money in spite of all that".
  
  I once worked with a guy in the financial realm who was a little like that character. I actually liked him very much. But, I remember when he called me about a year after I quit working for him. He was looking for investors in an unsecured paper deal (I passed) and his comment to me was, "The dream's not happening for me." He was whining, which surprised me. Anyway, just a strange memory.
  
  No whining. Just kick ass. "That coffee's for closers."...
