Agenda 21- Glenn Beck, Harriet Parke
Fiction 277pgs. ISBN 978-1-4767-1669-5

Agenda 21 is an enjoyable read. It is a story about a dystopian future world where big brother is all controlling, much along the lines of “Anthem” Rand, “1984” Orwell, and “Fahrenheit 451” Bradbury. There are common themes and clear parallels among the stories. It is a clarion call to avoid such a future by pointing out the endgame of the collectivist, tree hugging, statist’s. It is a bleak world, but ultimately incapable of sustaining itself indefinitely or crushing completely the individual human spirit! Thus like all socialist utopian schemes it resorts to tyranny and equal suffering in order to exist and forestall the inevitable failure. For the story’s protagonist there is a chance of escape. But you will have to read the book to find out how it ends. :)

I ripped through the pages in a few evenings. The time was well spent.
Respectfully,
O.A.

    Hello terrycan,
Good to hear from you. I concur.
    How are you?
Business wise, around here people are scrambling. I see businessmen trying to do even more with less because they fear the new taxes and reg's. People are really stressed already. Such is manufacturing... around here anyway.
    Regards,
    O.A.

My wife and I read it and enjoyed it. It seems more and more possible as we endure Obama's second term.

That same wonderful Dad, if he was like mine, would have had your hide. You have to give the kid credit for imagination and initiative... 6 years old and taking the car in for repairs and picking up chinese... I think I would hide the car keys better. Lucky it didn't end in tragedy...

good song to start off work in the morning! so here is how I found that article. I was compelled to click on an article about a 6 yr old LaPeer boy who was out driving the family car. When stopped by the sheriff, he said that he was taking the car in for repairs and picking up some chinese food. His parents were at home in bed, as it was 7am. His When asked how did he know how to drive? he shrugged and said I've watched my dad. you've got to get up pretty early in the morning for that kid, I guess.

It was awesome. It did not end quite as expected.
There was much sacrifice so that others could live. Only one of the original cast survived! I don't want to spoil it for you, but I have some quotes written down at home I may pass along later. :)
