      Rick,
Busy working full time at 74 years of age.

      Read AS in 1968.

Pass the torch daily when opportunity arises.

Do we know who will play Dagny and Hank and Francisco in part three yet?

      Thanks for the welcome.

Rick, In 1968 I subscribed to the Objectivist Newsletter before the breakup. The circulation was about 20,000 or so. My initial reaction to learning about Objectivism was to exclaim: "How come its not front page headlines in the New York TImes!?"
I was naive and had grown up in Brooklyn at a time when the NYT was considered to be the paper read my the intelligent members of the community. Little did I know.
But I wondered if those 20,000 TON subscribers would be motivated to enlighten others at some rate. Even at one more a year, who would go on to join in passing the torch, that would mean ten million in ten years of exponential growth.
If it has happened they remain fairly invisible.

So I wonder if you are aware of the existence of two organizations in the colleges which are growing rapidly: Students For Liberty and Young Americans For Liberty. SFL started in 2008 on half a dozen colleges and now boasts a presence on over 1000 campuses on every continent, with conferences all over the US and Europe!
The YAL claim to be on over 400 colleges and boast 163K student activists.
        Both are growing.
The question is naturally, what are they reading and what are they learning.
Both have allied themselves with the Atlas Society and they are learning about Objectivism. as well as free market capitalism and the Founders vision of limited Constitutional government.
Just thought you might have thoughts about this movement which has the promise to grow exponentially over the next few years.

I am watching the Fukushima catastrophy and dread the prospect of worldwide spread of radioactive particles which could render the planet uninhabitable.
I try not to worry about that but I do have a grandson who is almost three years of age and I worry about his future.
My preference is to stay here and fight for our liberty. Tough when surrounded by so many misinformed, indoctrinated, misguided and irrational uneducated citizens.
Have a nice day. I have to get to sleep as I am still working full time with a one hour commute.

I have heard of both groups but am not familiar with them.

In the Marxist indoctrination centers which I've done battle at, these groups would be treated as suspect at best and hate groups at worst.

Hi Flat, welcome to the Gulch, Glad you made it! Don't forget to watch the final day of filming (for us Producers Only), Friday 2/14. It has been a hoot.
Learned a lot about the movie making business. Chat with other producers as they are filming live.
Hope to see you there or here in the Gulch.
    Bill
