I had just graduated with honors and Phi Beta Kappa and that evening my boyfriend handed me Atlas Shrugged. "Now your education begins. Read this and I'll tell you if we are still going out." I passed. We were together for 46 years, married for 45 wonderful exciting years before his death in February. Atlas Shrugged always gave us ideals to live up to, and continues to do so for me now.

We DID build this - no one from the gov't helped (though they did from time to time hinder). I had a husband I adored, a business I love, and adult children who know the meaning of the Pledge. Even now, when tears flow so easily, I know I am one of the luckiest people who have ever lived.

Welcome to the Gulch Eloise... this is so heartwarming and a great testimony to Ayn Rand's philosophy... how things should be in every family. Congratulations on your successful life and principles. You will feel at home here also..

    Greetings Eloise,
A bitter sweet story, I am sorry for your loss, but many will never know what you have had. There are no greater loves than that of a spouse a child or a business you created. Now I'm getting all choked up... :(
    Respectfully,
    O.A.
