An "angel" investor is someone, usually a high net-worth individual, who invests relatively small amounts into early-stage start up companies. Commonly, a start up would first get funds from the savings of its founders, then from friends and relatives, then from angel investors, then from venture capital funds, then from the capital market by selling stock or bonds to the public.Permalink|

I maintain a strong cash position, avoiding long-term investments at this point. The most recent phenomenon that I have observed is the outflow of foreign capital due to the rise of the US dollar. Global investors are liquidating their US and US dollar denominated assets to realize the foreign exchange gain.Permalink|
