Recently saw a trailer for Tomorrowland and it had a lot of similarities to the second half of Atlas II. Coincidence? Thoughts?

I went to the cinema to watch Tomorrowland and will buy it when it comes out on DVD.

I think it is an important movie because it shifts the mainstream, however imperceptibly, towards a positive view of what the future holds. I prefer that to the dystopia-theme of recent years.

I comprehend that warnings about 'thin end of the wedge' scenarios are needed. But I appreciate a long-term vision of future possibilities to counter the gloom. As the sun will come out again after the storm has dissipated its limited energy.

The fourteen centuries that the darkness has used to spread itself are a long time compared to the lifetime of a single human lifetime.

We need to use a second way of interpreting events - using a geological timescale. So that we DO NOT become hypnotised by recent events.

Keep in mind: evil thrives when good men stand aside and do nothing.

My favourite book concerning this strategy is Terry Goodkind's 'Faith of the Fallen'.
