This is one reason I'm not on Facebook. Or any site that requires the use of real names. This kind of discrimination ought not happen, but banning it would be worse.

Outside of foreign and war policy, I don't see stupidity in the Obama administration. I see a deliberate plan to destroy our republic and its economy.

Most of the comments about her on that page are worse than her comment.

I've read story after story of employers becoming aware of somebody's post.
I;m retired, but I still don't want to mess with those things.

I thought that I was a social media dummy. At least I have a semi-reason being old. This woman is either stupefied or dumb as a box of rocks.

Yep. And fire her quickly for that, before she bad mouths further.

I have had two people (known from personal contexts) who were fishing for jobs at SH tell me about the idiot ego hijinks they pulled on customers whilst they were doing Tech Support (or other work) for other companies. Strangely, I never invited them to give me their resumes...

    Jan, failed to be impressed

    Entirely possible.

If one thinks about it, really this is the result from an entitlement mentality. She openly admits she needs a job (a good step forward) but then she takes a step back by complaining about the job she gets. If I knew this young woman, I would advise her to do the best at this job while she looks for another. But this stunt isn't going to score any brownie points with future employers. :S

Note to self: Just received added reinforcement to keep thinking like a prehistoric old dino that social gadgets like Facebook are a waste of time as well as money.

I suspect the reason she was fired is because she probably told them she loved to work with children during the interview.

They didn't have to fire her for her "kids" comment. Fire her because she lacks the common sense and self-control to keep that comment to herself.

I have read that Lincoln once recounted his best letters may have been the ones he never sent!

My first question: why would you take a job doing something you hate so much you're willing to complain about it on social media?

Second question: why didn't this come up in the INTERVIEW?

The girl is a jackass. She shouldn't be around children with her attitude let alone be a maker of babies. Her own child will be a basket case by the time he is 6!

    Yeah...she really needed a job...

She could get a job in California as a special education administrator making $120K/year. She'd fit right in... Especially with the "I hate kids" thing. Perfect.

Hopefully her candor turns out to be a blessing, leading her to a job doing something she enjoys more, which will lead to more pay and a better outcome for all concerned.
