I understand the sentiment but disagree with several premises. 1. We are able to feed more people today than at any time in the history of the world. More people died from starvation in 1800 when the population was almost 10 times less. 2. Pollution in 2 nd and third world countries tends to go down as more people are pulled out of poverty. Increased manufacturing-wealth creation -efficiencies -newer infrastructures. China and much of Asia are still working through that. The more wealth created for people the more time they have to demand a better working environment. Before the use of oil and gas the streets were inches deep in horse excrement.
