Warm out of the oven apple pie, and from scratch pumpkin, as in I got a sugar pumpkin and macerated it to http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=kp&am.... And a sublime Reserve de la Comtesse. 2000. My day is done.

Wow, another Reisling family!! My mom loved JR, and we've kind of made it one of our holiday meal traditions! We've been attacking one of the cases of Krug from a long time back, and every time we crack one I'm amazed how well its held up! Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you, I hope to. A survivor told me that the most important thing you can do is have someone take you outside every day - even if you don't feel like going. If you just absolutely cannot go, don't. But connecting to the world is a good thing - thus were born our "sunset airings". Persevere.

that is amazing, winter. glad you kicked the cancer to the curb. I have a parent fighting a stage three diagnosis right now. it's important and good to know there are folks out there who have won.

    huzzah indeed! enjoy your holiday.

here, we add the slightest amount of ground pecans to the crust, put pecan halves on the pie when it's almost done [so they stay crunchy] and sprinkle a bit of the same ground pecans, with nutmeg, over the whipped cream. ooooooh.
However, as someone who knows how tricky piecrust can be, that is a great looking pie!
We're drinking [typo: drunking] a Hogue Cellars Riesling, very crisp.
    a good day to all!
