Warm out of the oven apple pie, and from scratch pumpkin, as in I got a sugar pumpkin and macerated it to http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=kp&am.... And a sublime Reserve de la Comtesse. 2000. My day is done.

Hope yours was amazing as ours was!!! These are, indeed, the "good old days" our children and grandchildren will reminisce and talk about!

Both pumpkin and pecan here ( I love the idea of combining pecans on the pumpkin pie!)... bottles of some older Krug Reisling (glad to know we're not the only reisling house!) and (don't laugh) Lancer's Rose (old thanksgiving traditions, both!) ... the barbecue for the bird is started, and the oven heating... friends and family are up here on the hill, and I suspect that by this evening's bourbon, brandy, and cigars we will be far more stuffed than that poor old turkey ever thought of...
    Happy Thanksgiving, all!!!

And safely. All arrived intact. Can't say the same now. I haven't had any yet. The night is young. The wine is not. A very good combination. :-).
How are you? Happy Thanksgiving, friend. :-)

It's all attitude. I know that sounds cliche, but it is the truth. Positive mien, demeanor and not giving in. Hang in there, Minniepuck. :-)
