This 1970s Pinto ad... This is the famous Pinto Runabout that sometimes had a little trouble with its reentry sequence and... exploded. Note the release date at the end of the ad. I love precognitive irony...

Note that this has absolutely nothing to do with AS or AR or the end of the world as we know it.

    Toyota Celica's rule. Ford & Chevy tried to hang with them, but lack of quality, reliability, and safety put the Pinto, Vega and Monza out of production. Too bad the Celica isn't produced anymore. Long live the 7th Generation! Got a GT-S? =)

      We'll agree to disagree on the quality of Japanese peddle cars of the 1970s.

      Of course, if Ford & Chevy had the federal government subsidizing them so they could afford to operate at a loss, as was the case with Japan, Inc, their quality control might have been better.
