Man... you definitely got issues. You keep getting drawn back to this like an ex drunk to a bar... saying the same crap over and over... and it's boring and sad. Worse, I keep getting notifications on my email, following them, and finding more of this issue about someone I don't know and an issue that I could care less about. It's wasting my time, and eroding my patience.

But you do. He's a dude. Born a man. Never disputed that. Now he calls himself Rachel and thinks he's a chick. If I walked up to you with a leopard on a leash, and said "how do you like my dog?", would you pat me on the head and say "hey dude, that's a nice dog", or would you be sane and say "um, that's a leopard"?

As is my custom... I mean... exactly what I said. If I said "she"... I can pretty much guarantee you I meant "she".

I tend to look at and judge someone based on their (a) qualifications, (b) integrity, (c) intelligence, and (d) objectivity... not on (a) what they have (or had) in their pants, (b) who they sleep with, (c) something I read in the media, or (d) what they look like.

If she says she is a she... and I don't have personal firsthand knowledge of anything different... then why would I call a cat a camel? Or a dog?

I see some stuff about her practice (she apparently works with people with eating disorders), but nothing about her experience administering departments, policies, or programs... Ya never know; some people shine when thrown into a new arena, others fail miserably. I guess time will tell... and that she wasn't put there to be some kind of poster child for a political agenda - THAT would be a recipe for disaster..

Why "way to go?" What special qualities does this physician have that makes them the best candidate. Just based on the math it is highly unlikely for the most qualified to also be transgender. Sorry, this is fascism by numerous special classes.

I have known several uh - not very good looking - transgender people. There is a really big guy/gal who is an expert on the F-15 (?) who I talk with annually at a XMas party. He is still married to his wife, who he married when he was a man. I try to always complement him on his blouse or dress and he just beams!

Of course, there are a few who look gorgeous!

Well, that particular one is particularly ugly, she could at least do something with her masculine features, which give her an uncanny appearance.
For a doctor, that should not be too difficult to elect hair implants on the forehead, and to something about that brow line... and why put lipstick on those thin lips !
This makes me wonder if she was chosen for her skills or for the shock value of her creepy smile.

I'm thinking he wants a fight like this with the social conservatives. It appears there is no reason to oppose her but I'm sure some will because of her lifestyle.

I tried to find a job description but not much luck. We have a Republican State Senate and House. I was wondering if she needs confirmed???

Very cool. I don't know why states need a physician general either, but if they must have one way to go for nominating a transgender person.

I am curious to see how the debate unfolds. Pennsylvania is a strange state. We switch back and forth between Republican and Democratic governors but we have one of the largest and most expensive legislatures in the country. It could be a job with little responsibility.
