I wonder if this is purely political or if she is qualified. I expect some real debate about this in my home state.

I was thinking like the director of the state health agency. Since she has both a med and psych background, I can see why she would make a short list - the question is, does she have executive experience running a department or facility?

That's the real question - the one to get up in arms about - is (a) What are the job requirements and (b) what's her qualifications? What she has in her pants is about as irrelevant to the question of if she can do the job as is the color of her skin, the length of her hair, the size of her home, or who she sleeps with at night.

It's the first I have heard of it. I am guessing it is like the Surgeon General. I already got an e-mail from a conservative who is already upset. Too little information right now.

Why? What does a physician general do for a state anyway? The alarming thing I read in the article was that PA had a "Board of Equality " that sounds pretty ominous
