The cast changes were the biggest problem for me too. You just can't do that in a multi-part movie. Regardless of the quality of everything else, can you imagine what people would have said if different actors had played Frodo, Gimli, Legolas, etc. in each part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy?

AS needs to be done as a miniseries, perhaps 6 to 8 episodes of 90 minutes each, with the same cast throughout.

I thought the first film decent, the second was the best of the three, and the 3rd was just embarrassing.

I did not think the third felt at all like the book. It was more of a sappy love story between Galt and a teenager that was called Dagny. Any meat that was in the third installment only existed in cometary.

    I still bought it anyway.

The one positive I had on the last movie was I thought they handled Gults speech very well. It was short, understandable by the average viewer and got to the point.

If the 1st had been as moderate as the last I do not think we would have had part 2 or part 3 but as it is, I would still recommend owning all three. They do open minds for discussion that will often lead to others reading the book. That makes them have enough value to me to part with the asking price to buy them.

No one who sees the film is going to wade through that book, except someone already in the camp.

I got the set for my brother for Xmas. Movie 3 just arrived yesterday.

No idea, why it couldn't have been released shortly after I got my member copy a month ago...before Xmas!

This a Christmas gift a certain brother will likely give me a year from now unless he surprises me with more than the usual birthday card mailed in March.
Why this DVD wasn't out before last Christmas is a mystery for a lost $$$ opportunity to me.

That's exactly the problem, in addition to the fact that Atlas has always been toxic to the mainstream simpletons who would rather go see the latest Michael Moore epic. I wish the actors had remained the same throughout the trilogy. That was the biggest negative for me. I still purchased the set for myself and my children however!

You provide the budget to make a full scale film and do better. The problem with any film that follows a book is, everyone who read the book first will think the film didn't do it justice. Everyone who sees the film first then reads the book will think "eh, decent book, I liked the movie"

Atlas Shrugged part 3 is absolutely the worst directed, worst acted film I have ever seen. I was so disappointed that Ayn Rand's brilliantly conceived epic was turned into such mush by what seemed to be amateurs in acting, directing , editing, cinematography, special effects and on and on. Dagny Taggart as a skinny little post teen, John Galt a 3rd rate actor with 70's bad hair and it just gets worse. Shamefully pathetic in so many ways. It is almost criminal what they did to Ayn Rand's story. Someone please do it over and get it right this time, please.
