It saddened me to hear today that actor Edward Herrmann died at the age of 71.

For those of you who don't know, Mr. Herrmann recorded the audiobook of Atlas Shrugged, which first came out on tape cassette and later on CD.

Rest in peace, Mr. Herrmann, and thank you for adding another dimension to Atlas Shrugged.

Sincerely,
Steve Migala

Yes.... I saw this yesterday. I have greatly enjoyed many of his audiobook narrations. I haven't seen his movie portrayals, so I have something to look forward to. He will be missed.

As well as his portrayals of everything from presidents, to politicians, to vampires. I'll miss him, he died too young.

He also acted as the title character in the anti-IRS 'Harry's War'. For that role alone, I have always had immense respect for him.

Agreed. I have listened to Atlas and Fountainhead by Herrmann countless times. His voice always makes me think of Rand - such a good thing.
