A European research team has found that the rotation axes of the central supermassive black holes in a sample of quasars are parallel to each other over vast distances.

    There's so much more nuance in the books - just as with AS. But like AS, you can get the basic theme via the movies. If you've only seen the first - 2001 - then you really should see 2010. It really helps to flesh out the ideas. And now 3001 is in development with a projected release in 2017, we'll see.

    No, but I did like the movie. Although, I must admit it made more sense each time I watched it. I now have it on DVD. The critics just didn't get it... oh well. I have never read any Arthur C. Clark, but everything of his I ever viewed on TV was a treat. Someday... If I have enough time... Life is short, but book lists are long. I read too much non-fiction. Fiction for me is a rare treat. What fiction I do get is mostly in movies or TV series. AS was one of those rare treats that turned out to be so much more.
