If you chose the lesser of two evils you are still choosing evil and should expect nothing less.

It's so much worse than that. At least in HS you had an idea who these people really were!

How should this work? It was based on the "Settlement" Selection process...
Every 100-500 families would elect their representative.

Then, they would send theirs up, and 100 would show up, and talk amongst themselves.
    And select their BEST representative.

This would happen 4-5 times. But the BETTER people would be selected. Because these 100
got to KNOW the person was not committed to just helping their family out, or making profit going to office.

We got the best of the best.

Our approach... We get the Selection from the greediest, dirtiest people nobody actually knows.
And we have no idea what they truly believe, or why they want the position!

Kirk, you have nailed it. The Libertarians have abandoned us to idiots on both extremes!

    Well said Captain.
Was hoping for Grandchildren but looks like that is off the table. Just hope for the sake of my children that we can keep the Communists out of complete control until the current education and brainwashing can be overcome.....

I agree with you 100%, Captain. Down here in SC, we have a senate seat up for grabs. I didn't like Lindsay Graham. He died, his wife is worse but is running for his seat, but I'll be damned if I ever vote for a Democrat ever again, so Mrs Lindsay it is. Sigh. We had another candidate for that seat in the Primaries, He's a good man and an acquaintance, but Lindsay had run an ad hominem smear campaign and dredged up stuff Mark had done in college, 40 years ago, and shut him down. Grit your teeth and push the button, and at least be sure the socialists don't get your vote.

Why I stopped voting Libertarian as my "complaint" vote.
    1) There are not enough of us that it actually matters
    2) It plays into their hands. Disenfranchise the people
    3) It is actually 1/2 a vote for the Looters. Because they have ZERO conscience

I never voted for a Bush. I am proud of that.
But today, we have INSANITY vs. QUESTIONABLE
as our choices. Giving 1/2 vote to INSANITY seems insane!
I also BELIEVE: If you don't vote, "STFU" your opinion on politics is MOOT.

Finally, to those asking why we don't get "better" people.
The system is optimized to find exactly who the $$$ brokers can control.
That's what made TrumpV1 so powerful. He owed nobody. (But he believed the criminals, like Reince Priebus who were just "Conservative Looters".

I have between 10-20 yrs left on this planet. I would love to hold my future grandchildren.
I have a TOUGH time turning this over to the DSA crowd.

Choosing our representatives and senators in Washington has become the equivalent of campaigning for student body president and student council: Who's the most popular and can make the most outlandish "promises".

Rather than vote an immoral candidate and knowing full well that my candidate will lose i usually vote for the libertarian candidate rather than the lesser of two evils

Why can we not get better candidates?? Is it the money, or that no successful person would ever put themselves through the ridiculous process...
