Democratic Socialists of America

Hello Fellow Gulchers ...

I recently found the document / manifesto regarding the Democratic Socialists of America (see the link).
https://program.dsausa.org/wp-content...

The 20 page PDF includes illustrations and text as though it was written for an audience of young children... Think Pre-K. I try to get my brain and thinking aligned with how a Democratic Socialist actually thinks, if that word is even appropriate. These youngsters have an odd way of believing that pert-near everything is a right: housing, food, healthcare, education, vacations, transportation, you name it, the state will provide it. A state that actually has no classes or a cast system... and yet, the folks that are front and center, are The Workers.

When I sometimes interact with the type that would write such a manifesto -- I find that few, if any, of these folks see themselves as Workers. Nope. They fashion themselves as Planners. They will be the architects of this New and Improved Democratic Socialism ... and their plans will be exercised by a raft of Managers. The managers have the job of ensuring that The Workers do what is expected of them. Everyone has their place, and these so called Planners never actually do any of the Work. On close inspection, each of these so-called Planners, in the Real World (the world that most of us live in -- physical reality bound by connections to reality) is a largely vacuous balloon floating through life on a gas of whim-worship and delusion.

I also get the impression that there is an Invisible Hand that is orchestrating these DSA children. Someone with actual intelligence, the financial means and charisma to pull together the likes of AOC, Bernie and Company to write this DSA drivel and make sure that it gets public traction. I've recently been hearing some rumblings -- Trump is being actively discredited ... and right now, Polymarket is showing AOC with a 16% chance of being the Democratic 2028 Presidential nominee .. Newsom is 17%, Jon Ossoff (never heard of him) is 18%. Newsom I can understand ... but the absolutely daft AOC?

Your thoughts / impressions on this DSA phenomena will be welcomed.

The deep state controls which persons can be 'serious' candidates, with the conspiratorial assistance of the media.
If voting made a difference, it would be illegal.

And here is a critique of DSA ...
Keith Knight's Top Ten Problems with Democratic Socialism
    (YouTube 59 minutes).
Keith does a fine job going after the primary reasons why DS cannot logically be effective.
If we could get young folks such as Keith to take a political office, instead of the likes of AOC, that would resonate as a meaningful way to bring some sanity back into human morality, in particular as it relates to economics (private property rights).

    I found this interesting ...
With AS, we have Directive 10-289.
But, I just learned from an accidental internet search -- there was an EO 10-289:
"Executive Order 10289—Providing for the Performance of Certain Functions of the President by the Secretary of the Treasury"
Signed: September 17, 1951, by President Harry S. Truman.
Purpose: It delegated routine administrative, regulatory, and mechanical presidential authorities to the Secretary of the Treasury so they could be performed without needing direct presidential approval or signature.

This was signed during Rand's writing of AS.
I did not check to see if Rand was at all influenced by this; making 10-289 a coincidence.

Yes -- and this is why I believe there is some Invisible Intelligent Hand that actually concocts this drivel and places it in front of the toddler-class like so many warm cookies.

Thank you for the summary of Ossoff. He should appeal to a wide swath of the profoundly ignorant element of the current population.

    Atlas Shrugged Directive 10-209

Employment Freeze: Workers cannot quit or change their jobs. Young people turning 21 must report to a government board that assigns their work.

Business Lock: Business owners cannot close down, transfer, or alter their companies. Factories must produce the exact same type and amount of goods they made during a past "Basic Year"

.No New Products: Inventing or introducing new products, technologies, or innovations is strictly forbidden.

Financial Freeze: Prices, wages, profits, and consumer spending amounts are locked at historical baseline levels.

Seizure of Ideas: Patent and copyright holders must sign over their intellectual property to the state through "voluntary" gift certificates.

Total State Control: A newly formed Unification Board receives absolute authority to enforce these rules without any legal challenges allowed.

Ossoff 'won' his senate seat in the 2020 theft. Ultra liberal son of an Aussie feminist immigrant. He has never held any productive job, nor created anything.

Thank you for the link to the "great plan". I think the first illustration for "A Day Without Capitalism" sums it up: sleeping in with the brain turned off while the world goes on. Careful you don't wake up in a gulag.

Clearly written for a grade school student with no concept of history or current events.
