If the Russian military couldn't run over Ukraine in about 4 weeks, there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell it could have overrun Europe. Besides, like I've said before, why would the Russians want to take custody of a bunch of failing welfare states?
And for what?
Having written the above~~~all the Americans who got killed for what now amounts to nothing for too damn long in our lost Vietnam War just swam into me dino's head.
Now on this one- the Russian special military intervention of Feb 2022, the argument is correct, agreeing with my reading of other sources I rely on.
Yes, Ukraine is an artificial nation with borders set by the Soviets for administrative convenience.
Hatreds exploded in WW2 notably with the ultra-nationalists (neonazis), since then, things have got worse.
I would not have been as severe on Rubio and Trump, yes, they are not historians, but yes they should seek out and find that expertize, it exists.
I'd say there are two big villains- US Deepstate incl the armaments industry, and NATO/EU. As many have noted, not just Trump, the EU has put itself on a suicide path with massive inward migration of barbarians, and slavish adoption of climate crap. Result- social and economic disasters. Governments' response, as usual, blame Russia.

Finally, there is so much going on. Russia has great resources, and the Dictators who control most of the governments/people (even higher than our deep state). Want those resources.
We moved NATO borders closer to Russia this whole time, and put missiles aimed at them, every time.
I've said it before. I never thought I would utter this phrase:
"I am grateful to the President of Russia for showing intelligent restraint!"
That would also give the proverbial bow finger to NATO.
