Good hunting, OUC. Every four months my family doctor keeps tabs on my type 2 diabetes, I just know that on October 1 he will ask if I have taken my flu shot. I have a niece in Memphis who is autistic. She is also seriously allergic to peanuts.
Allosaur, I did not know you were T2D. This disease is 100% caused by our diet. You are probably too old to care, and the change is hard. AND if you are taking insulin, you have to be really careful changing your diet.
There is a book by Dr. Bernstein (a T1D who figured out low-carb made his T1D easy to manage, and he just died recently in his late 80s I believe, which is AMAZING for a T1D!)
On YouTube, you can find Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Boz (who fasts T1Ds and T2Ds under medical supervision), and Dr. Ben Bikman who wrote a book about the dangers of Insulin.
