Is it possible that Mamdani can actually serve a useful purpose? AOC is really pushing this guy; she's hosting a breakfast in DC today trying to rally as much support as possible for him. Which makes me wonder: If he goes down in flames in November--if he does his best Hindenburg impression--is it possible that he takes AOC with him? Or at the very least, is it possible that her relevance will be severely damaged, and maybe--just maybe--she will STFU? And could that, in turn, start to chip away at the collection of idiots known as The View--er, excuse me, as The Squad?

Of course, after I typed that and read it back, maybe taking her out of the spotlight could be a long term gain (you know, addition by subtraction) for the Dems. As long as she and her ilk are out there, the entire world can see just how crazy the lunatic left has become.

I still kinda want him to become NYC's mayor; the entire world will see yet another failed attempt at socialism. But unless I'm forgetting an example, this will be the first real socialist failure in the social media age; put another way, it's the first one that the MSM can't either hide or gloss over. (And yes, I know that "socialism" and "failure" are synonyms.)
