It's time to draw a line

I want Trump to go live on TV at noon PST with the following statement.

"Good afternoon, America. The time has come to put the psychotic people running the state of California in their respective places. Their largest city is burning, and they call it 'peaceful'. United States government officials are being violently attacked simply for doing their jobs, and California officials refuse to step in. In fact, local police in Los Angeles have been barred from helping those federal government officers,

"Therefore, n just under five hours at 5:00pm PST this date, I will order the National Guard service men and women to exercise self defense and shoot to kill. Every time they see people throwing rocks or molotov cocktails, they have permission to drop the scumbags right where they stand. There is obvious intent to injure or kill, so retaliating with deadly force is fully and completely justified.

"Furthermore, in the spirit of the former occupant of the White House, I am issuing preemptive pardons for every single National Guard member for anything they do in defending both ICE agents and themselves.

"This country was founded on the rule of law; it's time that rule of law was enforced.

"Thank you, and God bless."

I agree, but the Democrats are doing a pretty good job of doing that themselves. All we have to do is stand back and watch.

I'm more cautious on this. Sure, they appear to be destroying themselves through poor decisions, violence, acting out...But, we need to realize that we're living in a two-tiered system. There are different rules for different people. And, the Dems can do things like traffic children, use underage girls as pawns in a bribery scheme, force-vaccinate everyone's kids, tax us under the guise of preventing climate change, have a president who openly bragged about bribing a foreign nation's DOJ with a billion $ of American taxpayer money, etc. They can smash and burn cop cars, pull elderly women out of their Teslas and beat them because they don't agree with Elon, etc. When communist and socialist forces took over other nations in our recent past there were surely people watching and seeing that these interests were dunderheaded. But, they went that route, anyway. Nazis in Germany. Communists in Cuba. Look at Iran and the current regime there. Of course these people are crazy. Might be crazy like a fox. The main difference here is that the American citizens still have guns. If we didn't I bet we'd have turned already...

I keep seeing references that many of the perps in these riots are paid agitators of the Marxist left, but not much real proof. I'd like to see those masked perps surrounded and captured and then unmasked in full view for all to see. Then each one should be investigated and "outed" for all to know who they are. Jail time for offenders. Long jail time for repeating riot perps. This seems to be an orchestrated movement and it's high time to take the players off the board.

It says a big organizer of anti-ICE efforts is CHIRLA or The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles.
It further states CHIRLA gets its money from ActBlue, "the Democrats' favorite money pot" currently under investigation by the US Department of Justice (and I'd say SUPPOSEDLY) by Congress.

That's right. The Dems are funding it. One of the Sam Walton heirs also. I'll become a believer once I see perp walks. Or...as some here would say...maybe we need to "take the time to reform the judges first".....even if that could take 30 years. Whatever. There are certainly some bad eggs here. Let me know if you see any in shackles and I'll put down my beer...

Not only that, I was listening to the radio this morning and an LA Mexican descent politician was being interviewed and her stance is the people that came from Mexico are not illegal because California and the entire Southwest is actually Mexican territory stolen by the USA and the Mexican people have a right to move freely about any of it. Never mind how Mexico became Mexico.

OK, then why are there so many illegal Mexicans in NY and elsewhere about the USA?

Maybe the USA can find a way to cede southern California back to Mexico and let the Mexican government hand out the welfare checks. The denizens of Hollywood should appreciate third world status as Mexican citizens and the illegal Mexicans can be legal again. I suspect the regional cartel ruler would give a big "YES!". Win-win.

Hmmm, just read FFA's "FIESTA IN LA..." post here in the Gulch. Maybe Mexico wouldn't want southern California back because of all the free money it is receiving in the form of "remittances". Taking back southern Cal turns off the spigot and may even make pesos flow the other way. Just thinkin'. Also, the cartels wealth flows from the USA to Mexico and the Mexican government doesn't have to deal with the destruction massive drug use creates - that can stay on the US side of the border.

Arrest, arrest, arrest. And arrest if we miss one or two or several thousand. Send them to Gitmo as insurrectionists and terrorists, pack them in until there is no more room. No Kent State, no Ruby Ridge, no Waco. Grab the violent ones first, no arguments, no f...ing lawyers in Gitmo. Keep your powder dry, America.

Good friend of mine has been talking about an eminent c i v i l w a r. I doubted it, saying America would fall via a slow collapse....like the boiling frog. I might have been wrong. It dawned on me after hearing what these "peaceful protestors" are saying in the microphones that this probably actually IS in i n sur e c t i o n. These people are openly talking about overthrowing The Donald and instituting communism. Interesting, huh? Edited to add....I predicted this summer would be "hot one". Looks like I nailed that...

Well, you are right on that. And a trip down memory lane:

Zimmerman vs. Travon Martin, Black Lives Matter, Daniel Pantaleo (never charged) vs Eric Garner in chokehold, I can't breathe, Officer Darrin Wilson (never charged) shoots Michael Brown, "Don't shoot", evolves to, "Hands up, Don't shoot", Officer Derek Chauvin vs George Floyd and lots of discrepancies but Chauvin goes to prison and three others charged with aiding and abetting. And January 6th, both sides lied to us on this one. Neither side showed the actual videos of the mayhem and there was a lot of commotion and pure aggression. I'd like to know who the individuals and groups were that carried the bats and other tools of the trade. Remember Baltimore, Seattle, Summer of Love, and al the other lies, just how peaceful they were.

If we don't start and continue to obey and enforce our laws and stop telling lies about demonstrations, laws, and actions then we are doomed. The media is the best instigator. Both sides omit what doesn't fit their agenda.

I like your trip down memory lane, but we can go much further back. Recall the famous (infamous?) "Boston Massacre" and John Adams defense of self-defense that got the British soldiers acquitted. It seems the rioters were throwing potentially deadly projectiles at the soldiers and the whole thing went to hell from there. The officers at the time tried to keep restraint, but under increasing pressure from a violent mob you get a Boston Massacre or a Kent State. The left wants exactly that.

I agree, term2. As I heard on a radio program the left is desperate for another "Kent State".

I sympathize with your thinking, but if any rioter, as vicious as they may get, are executed on the spot (even accidentally) the lefts propaganda machine will have a field day. Better to capture and prosecute as hard as that may be.

    I would add:

Also, because we believe these disrupters are paid, and sending money back to Mexico, because of the flags. There is an IMMEDIATE 50% Federal Tax on ALL Money sent to Mexico, until 90 days after the rioting stops, and stays stopped.

    Hit them where it hurts!
Fly the flag... Create a Target.
We PUNISH those who send money to that target.

The banks, institutions that fail to charge the 50% will owe TRIPLE that in damages to the Federal Government!

    Watch how fast it stops!

While I agree with the action, the statement is fraught with liabilities for our continued leadership.

Might be time to slip some MS13 people $ to make a mess of LA. This is what Soros would do, and it would completely undermine Newsome and his cronies.

    In all fairness,
The protesters need to be warned to "Cease and desist" before taking violent action.

Also: There needs to be more careful "sorting" of illegals.

Finger tatoos is scant evidence for deportation. Only violent criminals need to be deported for now. We don't need for our government and our troops to become another set of violent criminals.

We need to apply the famous idiom: "Walk softly and carry a big stick".

There is a WIDELY announced curfew.
TV News has warned repeatedly that it's dangerous to go into the downtown areas.
The rioters are clearly damaging and destroying property.
If those who are not doing so are too stupid to get out of the way when they see police
approaching those who are doing damage then I think they are accepting the risk of injury.
How could it be made clearer to them?
Can't they see the police pointing guns at them??
Many want to cause trouble. They know they are representing people who have broken the law.
If the law isn't applied to lawbreakers, then the law is meaningless and it encourages others to break it.
The governor of CA and mayor of LA (and SF) should be arrested and imprisoned for encouraging
and fomenting riots against federal laws.

        Yes.
The mayors and governor should be on site to quell the violence. They are dropping the ball.

I'm old enough to remember when then Governor Ronald Regan quelled the Watts riots with the order to the National Guard: "SHOOT TO KILL."

That was an era when a governor could stop violence with a "big stick" wielded to combat loss.

Now, governors and mayors don't seem to care about their cities and states nor to they care about preserving law and order.

That's dereliction of duty. However, it's not a national issue (for now).

The (foreign anti-American) Soros-paid useful idiots ,Democrats, and media made the overdose
death of a drug criminal national in May 2020 and they have promised to do the same this weekend.
This time it was a direct assault on federal officers doing their jobs in addition to assault on innocent
business and property owners. What would you do, sing Kumbaya and hope not to be set on fire
          by peaceful rioters?
I'd much rather see Sacramento, SF, and LA forced to stand on their own without taxes from
productive businesses and people, but that's not going to happen.
Is it just a coincidence that the 'peaceful' riots happen where unconstitutional gun laws prevent
people from defending their rights and property?

I would intentionally position troops inside the businesses and ready them to obliterate the intruders.

Meanwhile, as POTUS, I would remand control of the streets to local and state law enforcement.

If the governor and mayors choose to circumvent their responsibility, I would verbally and openly envision their political losses for them.

When induvidual rights (property rights) were violated, then the violators would be quickly dispatched.

Following that, I would hold a press conference with collaborating video and audio evidence exposing the imprudent and exploitative regime.

Sometimes you just need to give them enough rope so that they will hang themselves.

Sounds like you agree with what Trump has done, but would go further.
He hasn't put troops in businesses because that's beyond his constitutional power.
His federal actions have been to defend federal property and legal ICE activities.
The local police have been ineffective in limiting property damages, which should
provide the rope for the mayor and governor to dispatch themselves.

We can always hope for sudden self-inflicted "resignation" of the ineffectual state and local leadership.

I think that their inaction is simply baiting Trump.
I'm glad that he's not taking the bait.

The business owners should hire whatever security is needed to stop the barbarians at the gates.

Ya know, FFA, I had a thought on all this...

Maybe we should let the Marxists have their way when it comes to this stuff. In a communist regime ownership of all property goes to the government in the name of the people, of course. In that scenario the government will protect all property and vandals and looters will be shot on sight. Any survivors will be given 20 year sentences to the gulag where life expectancy is 5 years. After a decade or so society will be dirt poor, but will be quite civil due to the fear factor. After the crap is purged out of society... oh wait, isn't this sort of what went on in the Soviet Union? There's no graffiti or piss on the walls in the Moscow subway.

No graffiti in Singapore either and they didn't go through what the Russians did.
Of course, you can't chew gum there unless you want to go to prison.
There must be a balance and that depends on a rational, well informed population.
Propaganda has destroyed both and that has happened since the constitutional
limits on government became optional in 1860.

I believe Singapore has a procedure known as "public caning" that is used as a guideline to correct the graffiti problem. I also hear it is quite effective. Maybe having gangs of former graffiti "artists" in orange jumpsuits scrubbing down our cities, subways, and railroad cars for several years for each infraction will help stop the practice.

Then there's the mommy method of, "Oh, look at little Johnny painting pretty pictures and writing on the walls and furniture. Isn't he cuuuuuute? You can't punish him for trying so hard at being a famous artist!". Bah, cane his ass!

I'm seeing signs indicating the same, rainman0720. The problem is like having a class of 30 students where 28 are good students and 2 are complete asshats disrupting the whole thing. In the end you have a good chance of 30 students being uneducated, not just 2. Our society no longer boots the asshats where it counts so we all suffer. As long as society goes the way of a California, we'll have significant problems. However, maybe a good sign is a Florida willing to take on the asshats - hope after all?

It's always a good idea to get to the bottom of the issue before using government force.

What is the real issue (if any and/or relevant) ?
Who is funding this (if anyone)?
Can this be remediated with non-violence (like defunding the culprits) ?

Sometimes you just need to turn on the cold water hose on and soak everyone first...then get to the bottom of who is inciting this and what lies are being told on both sides.

There has to be a better way than to allow gangs to loot destroy and then for government to pour more fuel on the flames of violence. That probably won't stop the burning embers from re-igniting.

I don't completely disagree with your first point; government force should be used cautiously, but it MUST be an option.

To answer your next three questions in order:

          1. No real issue is needed; groupthink alone is enough to get these mindless idiots out and about.
          2. Sadly enough, the multitude of NGOs that the previous regime started and funded makes the US Government indirectly the largest "employer" of the rioters. Gates and Soros are probably there somewhere, too.
          3. No. These people have so little ability (or willingness) to think for themselves that any opportunity like this gives them a chance to "belong". If they had the self-awareness to take even one small step back, they would realize how wrong it is.

And answer me this, honestly if you can. If you knew with 100% certainty that law enforcement was authorized and wiling to use deadly force, would you be as willing to riot?

If the riot today resulted in 87 dead bodies in the street, just how willing would you be to riot tomorrow?

            All good points.

What if the rioters don't value their own individual lives ?

What if the issue IS to die by the hand of the US government ?

What if Soros and Gates have long-since realized that they have an unlimited amount of "useful idiots" and can create endless conflicts and chaos within this country because funding is also unlimited ?

You and I personally value our own lives and respect proper boundaries both personal and physical. They don't.

There are people who live to create chaos and thrive on goading conflicts.
