October Surprise?

So, I keep hearing about an "October Surprise" that will drastically affect the election. How about this for a series? One, the Longshoremen go on strike. Two, a week or so before the election, things start getting worse. Three, there's no end to the strike. Four, whoever's pulling the strings gets Buydem to declare something akin to martial law, somehow inferring that we can't hold the election because of the strike. Five, this country becomes one huge shithole over the next year or two.

Maybe that's the tinfoil hat talking, but it sure looks to me like it's the perfect opportunity for our not-so-illustrious government to do something to completely upend the election -process.

Hmm, never hear of him. I would say that I used to be Roman Catholic and was dragged into church every sunday by my mother. I gave up all that when I went to college and was out on my own. Never to return to sunday mass. I would have to admit I think the idea of a fixed religion is not rational. Some religions like jewish and mormon seem more rational when it comes to living here on earth than the others I dont clain to "believe" in remote planets like Mormons, or some "god" that lives in the heavens who sees me, but I cant see him....

People can believe what they want in my view, but I think the whole idea of religion is flawed. When I take my last breath, thats IT. I go nowhere and never come back.

It seems that the only reason I vote and am concerned with who wins is "what they can do TO me", not how they can help me.

I pretty much get along with everyone. That said, I find that there are cultural differences people which should be noted. As to Jews, I have noticed tht they stick together and protect each other more than many other people. I can see WHY, given past discrimination. I am known to tell friends that Jewish people are very good people, but dont expect to get in the middle between two of them and come out OK.

I never had children actually. I didnt want to make big mistakes with children in this society. Our government is and really "has been for quite awhile" anti citizen. I would rather it be less than half the size it is and get it OUT of many parts of our economy

I did see some drawings of what israel was fighting for in previous years regarding palestine. I cant remember exactly, but I think Israel was pretty much continuallly trying to increase its land holdings "to protect itself". This could make other countries have negative feelings about israel...
To be hated almost anywhere for being jewish seems a bit over the top to me. Maybe there is some reasons for it that we non-jews dont understand.

I will do your homework for you this last time.
Endeavor is extricating itself from a deal with the Saudi government to invest $400 million into the company, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The move comes as pressure mounts for Hollywood to take a stand against the kingdom in the wake of the disappearance — and possible murder — of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who wrote for The Washington Post.

Sources say paperwork is being drawn up that would terminate the deal for the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund, which was created by the government to back projects at home and abroad, to take a 5-10 percent stake in Endeavor.

What I am saying is that if the Israelis and Arabs can’t make a deal, this periodic killing will just go on and on. This is no life for the Jews or the Palestinians. Continual fighting over sections of land that have religious origins just doesn’t make sende
