What if....

I posted this under Politics, because there is no category for Survival or Suicide.
Watching the two Civil War movies, Gettysburg and Gods and Generals, the thought again crossed my mind that the next shooting war here at home will be very different from that last one. Besides the huge number of semi'automatic weapons now owned by most Americans, there is a new addition to the mix. The news (said wuth sarcasm) is not reporting the huge numbers of camoflaged and armed young men pouring over unsecured portions of the Arizona border. They are believed to be cartel members. Wirh all the unwanted aliens already here in the millions, we are in for hell on earth. The ranchers cannot defend their properties from the invaders and are moving away, choosing to luve rather than be either killed by the mobs or arrested by their own government. How do we defend our country when we cannot be allowed to defend our borders? The border state governors have to make a choice of their own soon. Let us hope they choose to srand and fight, DC or no DC.

the big cities will not be able to feed themselves
    shelves will empty quickly
    they violence starts

in 1860, the divide was geographic
and people could fend for themselves much more than today

    food shipments will stop
the power grid will fail (be attacked)
and people do not know how to take care of themselves

it will make 1860-1865 look like a picnic

same goes for an EMP attack (which will be worse) or an economic collapse

It will be almost beyond imagination, and with the possibility of EMP this whole thing moves into beyond imagination. For too many, it will be a final deadly shock in a world gone mad. I am thinking this will happen very soon, possibly before the election. I hope I see you and the rest of our Gulchers on the other side.

And when it's all over Katrinam41, the Earth will still be here, the Human population will be reduced to about 1 billion (the Globalist goal), and the Elite will have plenty to eat and total control over the Earth and its People.

Probably. An EMP would make it a bit harder, maybe a few freedom loving, rationally thinking souls will survive. Until our sun goes nova or a shot from a supernova burns everything to a crisp, something will survive. Maybe not us. I'll do my best to be a survivor, but no guarantees for any of us, even the elite.

I’m not worried about a civil war because the economic collapse will kill millions if not billions worldwide. The dollar is toast, we’ve been making money out of thin air for 50 years and now people are seeing the end of the road, approaching 135 mph with no breaks.

I agree with mhubb that the big cities will devour themselves quickly, there will be no useless eaters to fight. Any that makes their way to me will be improvised and decimated. The big cities only have 4 days of food after the shipments stop. If you can, get the hell out now.

Prepare now, move any wealth out of the banks, buy supplies and make alliances with likeminded people.

I know how you feel, mhubb. I want to be somewhere else too. Unless I pack up my toyhauler and drive away, there is no other option. Of course, driving away is an option only if you have someplace to go.
jack1776 you are so right. I live in a suburb 39 minutes from downtown Cleveland. If I can survive the mass exodus for a few days, I have a chance. Several like-minded folks live within a stone's throw, nearly as prepared as I am. We may be small in number, but we are gray, low profile and blending into the background. We are also armed and aware of what's coming, willing to protect and defend our own. I pray it won't come to that, but I know that something horrendous is on the horizon.
