A heads-up - Valvoline

Just a note in this age of higher prices and less service: I took my vehicle to Valvoline this week for oil and a lube job, as I have for about 25 years. I noticed that the 'chassis lubrication' was not checked off, on the invoice sheet. When I asked them about it, they (after a bit of prodding) admitted that they don't do that anymore, and haven't for a while. How long, they couldn't say. So I have no idea how long it's been since the grease fittings in my suspension and universals have been filled. When I asked them where to go to get the work done, they actually suggested their competitor, Jiffy-Lube. But Jiffy-Lube had previously pi$$ed me off so badly, years ago, that I have been driving the extra distance to Valvoline. I don't really blame Valvoline for cutting back on services in this age of Bidenflation, but I find it inexcusable that they would drop a necessary service, which they had been providing for decades, and which their clientele has assumed was part of their procedure, without being up-front and informing us that that service would have to be done elsewhere. So they have lost this customer for good. Caveat emptor, and these days, double-check all your receipts.
