Thanks. I'll check it out the next time I'm back that way. I have family in Phoenix and sometimes we take trips when I visit. (I'm currently hunkered down in the Peoples Republic of NY)

The last time I was in Winslow, the "flatbed Ford" was there, but the girl was only visible in the murals!

However, a real gem is located down the street a few blocks: The La Posada hotel. A beautifully restored Harvey House hotel and restaurant next to the railroad tracks.

And heading out of town, you can play "Leaving Winslow" (Jackson Browne - who also had a version of "Take it Easy").

Yes, I've been there, too. Nice visit. That was when I discovered "Standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona..." there is NOTHING there, especially no girl in a flatbed Ford, LOL!

Never mind. I'll never reach Australia in the first place.
Never hankered to visit~~even to have a shrimp on a barbee?~~even before its government made having a gun illegal.

I have to quibble with some of these.

    1) Dinosaurs actually had an extensive bureaucracy. They continuously denied the incoming asteroid as "fake news" - until it was too late.
    2) Mammals didn't have to contract with aliens. They knew that the dinosaurs' bureaucracy would eventually doom them so they escaped to their own Gulch.
    3) The crater in Arizona is the original location of the dinosaur bureaucracy. Their collective minds exploded when they realized Reality didn't care about their feelings. The mound in Australia used to be twice this high and housed the Mammalian Gulch. They collapsed it shortly after the disasters to hide the evidence as they went out to claim the world.
    4) The Arrakian Sand worms used up all the available Spice on Planet Earth to fold space and leave just before the asteroid impacted. They're currently gathering more to try to find another planet to move to. They just want to be left alone.

Thanks! I'll be here all... year ;)
