Just as I advised that "Julian Jaynes's book: The Bicameral Mind" should have read: The Bicameral Brain because our old testament ancestors had yet to achieve entrance to the mind.
A small portion of Mankind has only been "Introspective" (Consciously aware of his own awareness) for about 2500 to 3000 years. At the present time it is speculated that 40 to 50% of the population is Introspective. (Marcel Knutson of the Julian Jaynes Society).
So, as you see, that leaves out all modern day liberals and 99% if all the creatures in the worlds Kakistocracy's.
Ps, I have and read: The Liberal Mind, so long ago, I'd forgotten.
I'm surprised so many people are introspective.
However, we do use Both Halves of the Brain and thru the Mind, have a modicum of control over "some" of the temptations of the physical brain.
Ps Kakistocracy is my favorite word. Learned it from Glenn Beck. (government by the worst [AND] least qualified)
Also, attempted the discussion in: The Fight for Conscious Human Life©
The Liberal Mind answers the question. This book is the first systematic analysis of the political madness that now threatens to destroy the West's greatest achievement: the American dream of civilized liberty.
"Modern liberalism's irrationality can only be understood as the product of psychopathology. So extravagant are the patterns of thinking, emoting, behaving and relating that characterize the liberal mind that its relentless protests and demands become understandable only as disorders of the psyche."
The Liberal Mind reveals the madness of the modern liberal for what it is: a massive transference neurosis acted out in the world's political arenas, with devastating effects on the institutions of liberty.
