I thought that was a great meme as I've sorted through crappy lumber at HD and a few other places. There was a small lumber company in a town near where I live I would go to when I needed quality lumber, such as straight 2x4s. I asked the lady who owned the company how she managed to get such good lumber while the big companies always had a lot of crap. She said when a railroad car of lumber shows up behind her company she personally goes on board to inspect the delivery. If she doesn't like it she would tell the shipper to take it down the tracks to HD or whoever else he could dump it on. She has since passed and the kids ran the business out of business. Hard getting good stuff around here these days.

During those 21 years, wish I had a dollar for every time when assigned to be a rover (ground pounder) I said, "I'm 10-84 to your 20" which means, "Ah'm comin'."

That very first meme matches a thought I thought up during the Nineties while working my mind to contend with the boredom of being assigned to a state prison gun tower for eight long hours.
I phoned a couple of other bored officers on their own towers who yawningly agreed, "Yeah, you're right" about a space alien flying saucer clearly not being a UFO.
Never saw one. Yet one night I was on Tower #3 when what a local TV news reporter later described as a fist-sized meteor turned night into day for about three seconds by flying past overhead.
Not knowing what the hell was happening, I awaited to hear an explosion that never came. Why? I was wondering if Birmingham just got nuked over the horizon. It took about 40 minutes to drive there.
I lived in that direction in a "satellite city" about 30 minutes away. Still do.
