The View From My Gulch

Now that I'm in a place where people leave each other alone and some of the good 'ole American values still exist it really feels like I'm in my own Gulch. It gives me a different perspective. I deleted myself from any social media because it felt like I was staring into Nietzsche's abyss...watching people I care about having their lives falling apart, acting stupid and airing it all out for the world to see. Now, I see California in real crisis mode. Happy to see the Tribal Rangers smashing a stupid local roadblock to Burning Man the other day...that made national news because the rest of the country found it so shocking. Here we just chuckled. I see one of my favorite places in Hawaii burn down while they turn off the water, block people from escaping the inferno, starve the survivors, then build a fence around the whole town, not letting anybody in. Nobody will get punished for that, just re-elected. I can see the open border. Can see the the children getting trafficked in. Can see the (should be illegal) makeshift covid experimentation lab operating near Fresno, with a bunch of live and dead rodents, run by Chinese nationals who are getting favors from the Governor who will likely be our next President. They've switched to open, approved gain of function in the middle of California and that story's already dead. I hear that Biden says this next "booster" will be made mandatory for all Americans. The media isn't running with his comments. They're likely waiting for the next maniac from California to take the office of Pres, the guy who will resort to violence. He's going to be the American Trudeau . Rights are being crushed in America. Mangled. Nobody's stopping it. My new fishing boat arrives soon. I joked today maybe I'll throw my cell phone into one of the local lakes from it. Funny how things look when you really step back...

+1 (1000 if I could). Glad to see things are going well for you, Abaco. My wife and I are jabless and a forced jab will not be for me or her!

Yeah, it just doesn't make sense. Just listened to an interview where the interviewee pointed out that starting in 2020 the hours lost due to illness in the workplace increased "12 to 13 standard deviations". (!!!!!) Think about that! What could cause that! No wonder businesses like restaurants are having trouble staffing up. I'll be the first to say that some of that could just be because of the virus itself. But...I think we know what it probably is.

Good for you, Abaco! Great for your mental health.
Just got off a call with someone about going overseas looking for a new place to live later this year.
There may be a Gulch in my future, too.

When I heard that Biden is openly blabbing about force vaccinating every American I said, "Looks like my next real estate purchase will be outside the US." Gotta laugh about it! I don't know?...Chile? Uruguay? Thailand? That southern part of Chile with all the fishing, waterways and the mountains... I have been told that Thailand is very nice, with a superior medical system. My very liberal brother went on a rant the other day about how glad he is that he gets to travel around the world a lot (he's a bum with no wife, no kids...). He ranted how "America isn't the best anymore." I stopped him and said, "You don't have to tell me that. I know." Too bad. But, the fattest cow seems to be the one most feverishly butchered in this case...

I can attest that Thailand has world class dentistry.
I have had serious dental work done there on 2 separate occasions at about 80% off the prices in US.
It can be quite hot and humid, but my dentist is at a beach resort, so sea breezes do help.
The northern areas at higher elevations are more temperate. Prices are reasonable and
        Bangkok has first world conveniences.
Argentina might be getting their act together if the currently leading candidate wins and survives.
I think they just joined BRICS+ so they may be able to break the addiction to USD fiat
if the deep state leaves them alone. Argentina has been victimized repeatedly by the
banking cartel and their own corrupt elites. (Sound familiar?)
I probably won't choose Argentina though. I'm looking for a zero winter location.
