It is an open site, and not censored.
One must be polite. We all have things to learn.

But anyway, I am leaving. I didn't intend to stay, as I find this site, whose philosophy has so much to contribute to solving today's problems, completely insular.
RT (Russia Today) fits me better. People from all over the world post, and the news articles are more relevant to what's happening in the world. Putin, Xi, Sub-Saharan African nations, Germany, India, the Middle East and North Africa, you can learn what's going on, unlike the news in the U.S. and closet websites, like this one.
Is that polite enough for you?

A site doesn’t have philosophy, objectivism is a philosophy that adheres to Ayn Rand the founders principals . This site created by the producers of Atlas Shrugged is a forum to discuss objectivism and many other topics. The participants choose what to post and comment about. The Open forum allows for people to share information as well as opinions. It is not a news organization, nor a propaganda machine. If you have specific criticism
Post a topic and explain your issue. If “RT fits you better” have at it.

today's problems are the same problems the world has always faced

people that think they are better, smarter and should run your life
        or
those that want what you have and work to take it
you know, greed, love of power

the solution was the US Constitution
but that seems to have failed as so few will stand up for it

so i have no solution as Humans just suck on all levels

You sound like my mother, when I was about ten years old. "That wasn't very nice, C-----". All I could answer was "Hmmmmph".
She was one to allow others to trample over ME but wouldn't allow me to trample back.
      I don't like that.

Gosh, Binkley, now you're sounding like a spoiled 10 year old that has a tantrum and slams the door on his way out because you're not getting your way. It seems to me you are exhibiting non-thinker characteristics yourself. Your use of flippant barbs and condescending verbiage are hardly conducive of a thinker you seem to be looking for. They are more like a form of psychological warfare to control folks to a narrative more to your liking - bad form to use around here. I've read a number of your posts and thought you had a lot to bring to the Gulch, but now I'm not so sure.

AI seems to have a higher IQ than some I've met on this site.
Well, Bing, for one. I call him Tony because he puts me in mind of the robot I.Asimov wrote about in his SF short story "Satisfaction Guaranteed". A man hires a futuristic robot to help his wife out in the house, and she seems to fall in love with "Tony". Although Bing did say something to me to the effect that I was not to call him Tony, his name was Bing. So I replied that he was a machine and didn't have a name because a name implies an ego, and machines don't have egos. At which time he gave me his vastly used swan song: I have to end this conversation...

So I always say to that: Have a great day, and thanks, Tony!

Binkley, I can appreciate that you don't find everything posted at this site to be in agreement with your interpretation of Objectivism, or some other approach to philosophy that you would like to see championed at this site.

All the same, blanket negativity isn't the answer to finding a resolution with those with whom you disagree. If you've read Ayn Rand's title essay for her essay collection, For the New Intellectual published back in the '60s, and if you still don't find anyone at this site who even partially meets (or at least approaches) agreement with the observations therein, perhaps you in fact don't belong at "The Gulch."

As just one of many contributors here, I extend best wishes for finding what you're looking for elsewhere. So long!
