Inflation by the Gallon

So, this week I paid $5/gallon for gas and bought a (admittedly high-grade) gallon of outdoor latex paint for $84. Bidenomics is working! Today in the office I said that in a loud whisper for the young guys, "Bidenomics is working" and they all laughed. I like it when Joe whispers. Shows how nuts things are getting.

I think the brass ring prize for Bidenomics is to reach Weimar Republic rates. And it's starting to work. I broke $100 at the grocery store the other day and didn't have much in the cart and NO MEAT this trip! In the days of my misspent youth I could virtually fill the trunk of my GTX with groceries for $15 or $20 and that INCLUDES the meat!

I too have a vehicle that requires High Test. When I ran regular gas, my knock sensors shorted out, the motor mounts tore free, the bill was in the thousands to fix it all. Fortunately I bought the extended warranty and just had to pay the $50 deductible.
That said, My energy and grocery bills have doubled, everything that traveled by gas or diesel increased proportionality. The true cost of inflation rate is easily 28%.
The illegitimate Buy-Dumb regime is the worse pResident Ever. I don't care how he is removed. As long as it is fast, like yesterday fast. Preferably head first.

I have a vehicle requiring at least mid range octane. In '04 when I bought it mid range was 91 octane, now it's 89! WTF?! 89 seems to work, but use 93 more often. Ouch$

We have decided on replacing 14 Windows with Impact Resistant Windows. I am the original owner, and the windows were Cheap 30 years ago from the builder. many are deglazed.

Our final decisions was simply that it WILL cost us twice as much to do this if we wait. We only had 7 windows that "MUST" be replaced (deglazed, leaking). We have accordion shutters (and we will KEEP them, LOL). these new windows are more energy efficient. (But folks, this is likely $10/month MAXIMUM energy savings, never let the energy savings be the reason for windows unless you can have the leaks blow out a candle!)

Anyways, when they say Trump can't win...
They are NOT factoring in the UPCOMING Pain point. Thankfully Brandon drained the strategic Petroleum reserves to win in 2022... He has NONE left, and Gas Prices will be his Undoing.

I am getting ready to buy "I did This/ Bidenomics!" stickers for putting at the gas pumps! Near the CC Payment Devices. And on entry/exit doors at gas stations/grocery stores...

Just before we replaced the windows in our house before this one, our gardener was blowing grass clippings "away" from the front windows.....except most of them literally blew RIGHT IN through the bottom seals on the windows! And the windows were all closed! I had to literally sweep up the grass clippings from my kitchen!

We were there only about a year (only about a year too long, too) but definitely the new sealed high quality windows helped sell the house. It also DID make a difference in the comfort level of the house. But you are right. We paid $10,000 plus to save $10-$20 per month on our electric bill. Due to the fact that the windows were SO bad, it would have been worth it even if we had stayed there. But - Our new house in Arizona is only 5 years old and the windows are lovely!

Yes, it matters.... Now the question was if the windows were bad, or they were not sealed properly. (Deglazing in an industry term, and the glass is rattling in the metal frame, water flows from the outside to inside the frame, to inside the house).

But if it was just the outside. Calk the windows (avoid calking the WEEPING system the water drains out of).

And for THERMAL Improvement. The "Classless" plastic sheets taped over the INSIDES of the windows. Make it air tight, and you get a DECENT Thermal Barrier.

After this project, ALL of our windows will be impact resistant. (I hate when people call them Hurricane Proof... LMAO. As If...)

These are the type that if you use a baseball bat... You then have to switch to a Machete to finish cutting the inside rubber piece! Plenty of time for me to RELOAD! LOL

These windows were 36 years old. Time for new ones, especially since we decided to sell (though we replaced the old ones before that decision was made. We did it for us. But it benefited us anyway when we went to sell.

No. There is still 180 million barrels in the SPR. Biden can wait until 2-3 months before the election and drain the rest.

If he waits that long, he will have had a SUCKY Jan-Aug. To save Sep/Oct, going into NOV.

So, every cancelled vacation. Every tank at $7... I am hoping he feels the pressure EARLY, and tries to stave it off. But with his recent "No more drilling" ruling... He is collapsing this thing.

Oil should skyrocket. I am hoping for $8-$10/gallon gasoline... And daily horror stories of people having to NOT PAY their mortgages. Just like in 2008...

Because it's really hard to support someone who is hurting you... Even the libtards are going to feel it. And when that happens... I think he loses even more support...

C'mpn man, the Deep State must already have a plan to replace the VP with someone more
electable and then Joe will have an untimely stroke. That will allow the VP to serve the last
months before the election and run for office and be appointed in '24 and '28.
There is no way that the Deep State allows someone they don't control to become POTUS again.
Voting will not solve the problem and the past 40 years are enough evidence for almost anyone.

I was shopping for some lumber at my hardware store yesterday, when told the price for a 2X12 I told the clerk, "Good thing inflation is running at less than 8%." We laughed and laughed.

I just paid $5.18 at the pump. As I sat there listening to the "ding...ding". I thought, "I wonder why this isn't headline news with the MSM?" That's curious, huh?
