Finally in a situation where I can obtain proper acreage and start piecing things together. Looking at acreage that's isolated, forested here in the west. Will be getting to one or more sites with a Razor vehicle soon to evaluate. Such land looks to be a good investment, too, when you look at the bottom line. Glad I'm an engineer...

    Congrats, Abaco!

    I wanted to do something similar when we moved a few years ago, but "we" (meaning my wife) decided we HAD to be closer to the grandkid.

      Haha! I hear that all the time. Understandable. I have long said "the wives determine where we live". This will be a getaway vs. a constant home. Gets snowed in in the winter, typically.

    Congrats Abaco! 'Hope you've found a location - does one even exist in America? - where there are no property taxes, so the property actually belongs to you. That'd be my first priority. It's a sad commentary on the state of American principle when nations like Malta, Israel, Liechtenstein, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, the UAE, Monaco, Croatia, Fiji, Thailand, Cambodia, Ceylon (Sri Lanka,) Seychelles, the Cook Islands, the Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos and Dominica have residential taxation policies more respectful of human rights than the United States of America.
