My thinking here was shaped by a clip I saw some time back- memory is fuzzy here- a commentator was speaking on Fox and was silenced by accompanying anchors when he began to discuss Soros owning media and backing the swamp. He was told then that there was no need to discuss things like that... (my paraphrase, as I said, memory a little fuzzy.) It was clear that discussing Soros in a negative light (on Fox News!)was unwelcome.
Add to that what I heard Tucker saying (on Fox News) on election night, when the returns began pointing in Joe Biden's favor. After an evening of giving Biden no quarter on any front, Tucker began to sound downright sympathetic to Biden, saying, "We really just haven't gotten to know Joe Biden, to really know what he is all about..." He continued on with the change of tone. It was after that, I stopped listening to what Tucker Carlson had to say.
I feel honest journalists (and news agencies) are like honest politicians. Maybe they do exist, but those that own the airwaves will do whatever necessary to make sure as few of them get to speak in public as possible. That includes influence, threats and blackball. What better way to discourage conservatives than to influence their loudest news source to throw the game in favor of the swamp?
